ADS Announces 2022 Marinade Recipe Contest Winner
ADS is pleased to announce the winning recipe for the 2022 Summer Marinade Recipe Contest. Congratulations to Lori McLain of Denton, Texas, who has been selected as the winner of the contest for her recipe “Sesame Date Vinaigrette Marinade”, which features soy sauce and Dijon mustard.
“I love dates and knew they would complement the sesame oil and other ingredients,” said McLain. “I have used it as a marinade on all proteins for lovely kebabs, steaks, chops, chicken and even ribs. It comes together quickly and keeps well in the fridge.”
The contest was launched in August to find the perfect summer marinade recipe. Contestants from across the country submitted recipes using a variety of dressings and sauces including BBQ sauce, lemon vinaigrette and Worcestershire sauce.
ADS President Jeannie Milewski was impressed by the creativity of the submissions, “We had an impressive array of unique submissions for the second contest, but Ms. McLain’s recipe featuring both soy sauce and mustard was a unique combination I had never seen before.” Milewski said. “Her recipe will make an excellent addition to the ADS recipe library.”
