Annual Meeting Planning Committee
The charge of the Annual Meeting Planning Committee is to develop topics and identify speakers for the Annual Meeting program.
Consumer Awareness Steering Committee
The Consumer Awareness (CA) Steering Committee directs activities to raise product awareness, position dressings and sauces as part of a healthy diet and foster growth of industry products. This is accomplished through various ADS-sponsored campaigns, such as National Salad Month.
Executive Technical Board
The Executive Technical Board (ETB) works with staff to direct and supervise the ADS Technical Program which ensures Association members remain proactive on technical issues affecting the industry (e.g., labeling, food safety, processing, preservation). The ETB meets four times per year — January, during the Technical Meeting, August and during the Annual Meeting.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is charged with review of the current budget and provides recommendations to the Board of Directors on the proposed budget for the following year.
Horseradish Information Council
The Horseradish Information Council consists of manufacturers of Horseradish and works to promote and increase the consumption of horseradish by both consumers and foodservice outlets. The Committee also oversees the Horseradish Information Council’s Web site,www.horseradish.org, the most comprehensive resource for horseradish recipes anywhere!
Membership Advisory Council
The ADS Membership Advisory Council promotes membership in the Association through member endorsement. The Council also focuses on member retention and satisfaction.
Nominating Committee
Made up of members of the Board of Directors, the charge of the Nominating Committee is to identify qualified individuals to serve on the ADS Board of Directors.
Packaging Committee
The Packaging Committee (formerly The Portion Control/Flexible Packing Committee) addresses the needs of members involved in the packaging industry. The group meets twice per year during the Annual and Technical Meetings and meetings are open to observers.
Quality Assurance Committee
The Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) reviews new instrumentation and analyses for dressings and sauces, and ensures that the ADS technical manuals remain current and progressive.
Technical Committee
In 2010, the Emulsion Committee changed its name to the Technical Committee and revised the mission to reflect the Committee’s broadened focus. The mission of the Technical Committee is to advance the knowledge of the dressings and sauces industry through Committee research projects with a focus on ingredients, finished products, methods, equipment and instrumentation. The Committee operates under the purview of the ETB, meeting once per year during the Technical Meeting. Meetings are open to observers.
