2017 Sauce of the Year Award
Litehouse Wins 2017 Sauce of the Year from The Association for Dressings & Sauces for its Mango Habanero Dressing, Sauce & Marinade
(October 7, 2017) ATLANTA, GA– The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) named its 16th annual Sauce of the Year Award winner as Litehouse for its Mango Habanero Dressing, Sauce and Marinade. The award was presented at the ADS Annual Meeting held October 7-9 at the Westin Nashville in Nashville, TN.
“Consumers love a combination of sweet and hot. And our mango habanero flavor has proven to satisfy both the sweet tooth and the heat tooth,” said DorrieFrancis, Director of Quality Assurance and Food Safety at Litehouse Inc.
Sandpoint, Idaho-based Litehouse started at the Hawkins family restaurant over 50 years ago. Since that time, it has become the leader in refrigerated salad dressings, fruit and veggie dips, sauces, Instantly Fresh® Herbs, blue cheese, and pressed apple cider.

The Sauce of the Year Award is presented by ADS to recognize and celebrate truly innovative and delicious sauce products. Nominations for the award were received from ADS members and were then voted on by members via a blind taste test at the ADS May 2017 Technical Meeting in Portland, OR. ADS members voted for the sauce deemed to have the best overall taste.
