THE ASSOCIATION FOR DRESSINGS AND SAUCES HONORS FOOD ALLERGY RESEARCH AND RESOURCE PROGRAM OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN WITH ADS’ 2009 TECHNICAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

(May 2009) ATLANTA, GA – The Food Allergy Research and Resource Program (FARRP) of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln was presented with The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) 2009 Technical Achievement Award during ADS' Technical Meeting in Forth Worth, Texas, April 26 – 28.

The Technical Achievement Award is given when outstanding work in furthering the dressing and sauce industry has been accomplished. Dr. Steve Taylor, Director of FARRP and Professor with the Department of Food Science and Technology, accepted the award for outstanding leadership, research and education in the field of food allergens, which has benefited the dressing and sauce industry.

According to ADS' Director of Regulatory and Technical Affairs, Patricia Faison, "FARRP's commitment to addressing issues related to food allergens is most deserving of recognition. Their leadership in this area has been beneficial to the food industry as well as consumers."
