BRIANNAS DRESSING WITH LIQUIFLAPPER® CLOSURE
2009 PACKAGE OF THE YEAR
ATLANTA, GA (October 2009) - The Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS) named its 10th annual Package of the Year at its Annual Meeting held October 10 - 12 at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort in Dana Point, California. The Package of the Year award was given to Del Sol Food Company Inc. for their BRIANNAS Dressing bottle with LiquiFlapper® closure. The bottle features a closure that was designed for pourable products such as salad dressings and sauces. The cap is 10% lighter than competitive squeezable flip-top closures and is produced on energy efficient electric presses. The one-piece design has a durable hinge, opens easily, and closes with the cap’s signature audible “snap” that signifies locked-in freshness. The unique tear-drop shaped orifice and sharp cut-off lip provide controlled directional flow of liquids. “It is an honor for the Del Sol Food Company, Inc. to receive the 2009 “Package of the Year” award from the Association for Dressings & Sauces (ADS). The Package of the Year award is presented by ADS to increase the awareness of packaging in general and to celebrate the accomplishments of the packaging industry for dressing, sauce and condiment-related packages. Nominations for the award were received and ADS members cast their votes for the package each deemed most innovative during ADS’ April 2009 Technical Meeting in Fort Worth, Texas.
