ADS GOLF TOURNAMENT

Monday, October 6 – 1:00 p.m. Shotgun Start

Voted one of the “10 Best New Golf Courses in Florida” by Travel & Leisure Golf, and one of the “Top 50 Courses in Florida” by Golf Magazine, the Naples Grande Resort Golf Club offers a Rees Jones-designed par-72 course, just 15 minutes from the hotel.  The course is available exclusively to guests of the Naples Grande Resort & Club, and has a private practice range, exquisite clubhouse with golf shop and locker rooms, and meticulously manicured fairways.  The pristine greens and meandering natural waterways spread out over the 7,078-yard 18-hole course offer a challenge to players at every level.

The golf course is located approximately 6.5 miles/15 minutes from the hotel.  Transportation will be provided.  A shotgun start is set for 1:00 p.m.  Along with the normal individual and team prizes, there will be a Hole-In-One contest on four separate holes, with a top Prize of $5,000.  A driving range is available.  Dress code is collared shirts and soft spikes (non-metal) only.  No cutoffs, denim or swim trunks are allowed.  Spouses/companions are encouraged to play in the outing.  If you are interested in playing with your spouse or companion, please indicate when registering online.

A boxed lunch and bottled water will be provided for each player. You can store your clubs in your room, but storing with the bell desk might allow for easier access on Monday.  Rental clubs are available at $55, and include two sleeves of balls.  Please indicate on the online registration form your need for men’s or women’s clubs, right or left-handed preference, as well as your average score/handicap.  A beverage cart will be available on the course; all purchases are the responsibility of the individual.

Cost per person: $200 (includes boxed lunch, bottled water on the cart, prizes and hole-in-one contest) Rental clubs @ $55 are a separate charge.


“EVERGLADES ECO TOUR”

Monday, October 6, 1:30 pm departure

A visit to Southwest Florida isn’t complete without a tour through the Everglades. Participants will enjoy a half-hour airboat ride through mangrove-shaded waterways. Each boat captain is Coast Guard-certified and an acknowledged authority on the Florida Everglades. They offer colorful commentary on the sights and sounds of the intricate waterways of Southwest Florida.  You will enjoy a beautiful sightseeing tour mixed with the excitement of riding a true Florida airboat.  A visit to the Alligator Park is also included.

Tour requires a minimum of 20 participants registered by Friday, August 29 to commence.  If the tour must be cancelled, we will advise the registered participants and refund all tour fees.  Casual dress and walking shoes are recommended.

Depart Hotel at 1:30 p.m.  Return to Hotel at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Lunch is not included.  Please plan to have lunch prior to departure.  Non-alcoholic beverages will be available on the bus.

ADS BOCCE BALL TOURNAMENT

Tuesday, October 7, 1:00 pm start time

Bocce Ball – an ADS tradition!  Throwing balls toward a target is the oldest game known to mankind.  As early as 5,000 B.C. the Egyptians played a form of Bocce with polished rocks. The game evolved and spread through the Roman Empire and came to America with the Italian immigrant families.  The ease of learning to play Bocce ball makes it a sport that people of all ages and abilities can play.  Competition, laughter and fun are all part of the game!

The ADS Bocce Ball Tournament begins at 1:00 p.m.  Non-alcoholic refreshments will be available during the game.  Please plan to have lunch prior to the tournament.

ADS TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Tuesday, October 7, 1:00 p.m. start time

The ADS Annual Tennis Tournament will be held Tuesday afternoon.  The hotel’s Tennis Professional will organize players into doubles teams to play in a round-robin format.  If you are interested in teaming up with your spouse, please let staff know at jknight@kellencompany.com.  Rental racquets are available for a modest fee on-site.  Non-alcoholic refreshments will be available.  Plan to have lunch on your own prior to the tournament.

“Fabulous 50’S-STYLE ROCK & ROLL PARTY An Evening of Bowling, Karaoke and Fun!”

On Tuesday evening, you’ll be transported back to the Fabulous 50’s as we gather at beautiful Woodside Bowling Lanes for a fun night of bowling, karaoke, pool, milkshakes and ice cream sundaes!  Woodside is an upscale facility featuring 32 lanes that are fully automated with the very latest in computerized scoring and graphics.  In the Zoom Zone Caliente, we will have exclusive use of approximately 15 professional pool tables and two lanes of Glow Bowling, a fun and futuristic spin on the game.

In Nemo’s Sports Cafe, a lively D.J. will be spinning tunes from the 50’s to the 90’s and inviting the undiscovered “stars” of your group to step up to the karaoke machine to entertain.  Nemo’s also features dartboards and televisions with live sporting events.

Barrels of iced-cold beer & sodas will be awaiting your arrival, or enjoy your favorite adult beverage, including frozen drinks, at the bar.  After a sumptuous dinner buffet, plan to finish up with a thick and creamy milkshake or a decadent ice cream sundae, then work it off twisting the night away or working on your “spare.”
